My background & experience

My interest and passion for graphic design has been with me for as long as I care to remember, one school project that I remember vividly though was designing the packaging for a fictional Nintendo 64 game based on the new Bond movie, Tomorrow Never Dies (1997).

I went on to study multimedia design at Ashford School of Art and Design and eventually graduated with a BA (Hons) Degree in Visual Design and Advertising 3 years later from the University of Kent. Whilst studying I managed to pick up some freelance work and began trading under the name, Stardust, a nickname I acquired during my cricket-playing days.

With the economic collapse was offered a number of job opportunities in the Cambridge area and worked as a design assistant for former art director of Time Life and Good House Keeping. Together we worked on a range of exciting new projects for a high profile publisher, redesigning print publications into fully interactive apps for iPad and Tablet. We also worked on a new interactive magazine, which I co-designed as well as designing the website for the magazine.

After this I started work at a small design agency which enabled me to gain some studio experience. I worked as part of the team and was responsible for managing my own deadlines and clients.

I then started my freelance career and immediately began working on-site for a small number of clients. This experience was invaluable and got me involved on working on a wide variety of different design projects and was responsible for managing my own time as well as working with an in-house team of creatives and marketing managers. Over this time I discovered my true passion and area of expertise which strongly lies in branding and website design.

Whilst I still work on-site a number of days, the majority of my time is spent managing clients from my home studio. My clients range from small start ups, medium sized businesses, agencies and high profile multi national companies.

I take great pride in my work and love what I do, I’m ambitious, hard working, organised and have a meticulous eye for detail. I am committed to providing an outstanding level of service to my clients throughout the whole design process from concept through to launch.

I have a passion for immersive brand experience and my aim with every project is to provide this for my clients. In order to do this I offer a wide variety of design disciplines from graphic design and brand identity to photography, signage and website production.
